At least 2 dead in Alabama as Isaias' destructive impacts push inland after Friday night landfall
Two people died in Alabama as Post-Tropical Storm Isaias slammed the Southeast with strong winds and heavy rain.
One person died on Saturday morning at a home in East Birmingham, Alabama, early Saturday morning, when a tree collapsed and left people trapped.

FOX News Multimedia Reporter Asher Redd confirmed via the Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency Director that one person in the house died.
On Saturday, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey confirmed a second fatality in the state.
"Unfortunately, we have also learned that two Alabamians have lost their lives. I am praying for their loved ones this morning," she said in a post to social media.
Isaias made landfall as a Category 2 hurricane near Destin, Florida, on Friday night.
The storm brought intense rains, hurricane-force winds and storm surge to coastal Florida.
Officials in Escambia County, Florida, confirmed a woman died when a tree fell on a home during the storm.

Conditions worsened in central and northern Alabama as the post-tropical system moved up into the rest of the Southeast, bringing damaging winds and heavy rain.
Wind gusts in Birmingham early Saturday morning topped out at 49 mph.
More than 300,000 people were without power as of 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to Poweroutage.us.
Strong winds are beginning to die down in Birmingham, the FOX Forecast Center said.
However, rain will continue from the system through Saturday.
