13-year-old carves 500-pound monster pumpkin, planted with seeds from his grandmother
When a 13-year-old got the gift of pumpkin seeds from his grandmother, he chose not to toss them aside, but to plant them and be patient. With the help of a forklift, a saw, and a chisel, he carved the 500-pound monster and its little 300-pound sibling. Tony Dokoupil has the story.
